About Compare Area

Compare Area is a free web map tool for searching place boundaries, drawing custom polygons, and comparing the size of real-world places. It is built for quick visual checks when a simple map view is easier than opening GIS software.

What it does

Use the map to search for a place boundary or draw an area manually, confirm the polygon, color-code it, and compare it against other saved areas. Compare Area reports measurements in square meters, square kilometers, square feet, and acres.
